Membership Questions
Can you issue Fapiao?
No, we are currently only able to issue a Shouju, with an AustCham Beijing Financial Chop.
Do you sell your membership directory?
Yes, we sell a CD copy of our membership directory for 750RMB. Please email info@austcham.org if you would like to purchase a CD.
Is AustCham Beijing membership open to non-Australian companies and individuals?
Please see our Membership Categories for eligibility information.
Is AustCham Beijing membership exchangeable with AustCham Shanghai or Hong Kong or South China membership?
currently not exchangeable. However, if you are visiting another city and would like to attend an event, please contact the relevant AustCham as member price may be extended for your attendance.
How can I join AustCham Beijing?

What are the benefits of joining AustCham Beijing?
There are many benefits to joining AustCham Beijing, in particular giving you access to the Australia China business community in Beijing. Please see our Membership Benefits page for more information.
Events Questions
We are holding a trade fair/conference/event - can you promote it for us?
Depending on the event, we will consider advertising the event on our website for you. Please email through conference details (dates, content, benefits for AustCham Beijing members etc) to events@austcham.org and we will get back to you.
Can my company do a presentation to AustCham Beijing members about a particular topic?
We will certainly consider it! Please email events@austcham.org with details and we will get back to you.
How can I join your events? Are events open to non-members? Do I need to RSVP?
Please check the event details for RSVP information and restriction on access. Most events are open to members and non-members, with members enjoying a lower entry cost.
My company is an AustCham Beijing member. Can I attend the functions of AustCham Beijing at member price?
Yes, unless otherwise stated in the event details.
How do you choose your venues for events?
We generally work with our member venues as locations for events, but will consider unique venues for special events.
I am from a member company, if I bring two guests to Kooka or another event, do I need to register with you?
If the event requires RSVP, then we ask that you advise the total number of people before the RSVP deadline as specified in the event details. If your guests are not employees of an AustCham Beijing member company then they must pay non-member price.
Kooka does not require RSVP, so please just come along with your guests (30rmb entry if they are not an employee at an AustCham Beijing member company).

How can I join a working group?
Please register your interest in joining a Working Groups with Susan Clear on projects@austcham.org, noting which Group you are interested in.
Visa Questions
Are we eligible for the visa fast track service?
Your company must have been a corporate member of AustCham Beijing for 12 months before being eligible to use the visa fast track services we offer. Please see the Visa Service page for more information about the visa service.
Business Questions
Advice on doing business in China?
We have several member companies who specialise in market entry for businesses looking to set up in China. Please browse our Membership Directory for more information or give us a call.
I'd like to do some business with Australian companies in food/agricultural area, can you assist?
We are able to assist with introductions to member companies. The Food & Agriculture Working Group is the best place to start.
