Financial Services Meeting

Open to AustCham members of the financial services industry, this meeting will lay the groundwork for plans to promote Australian financial services in China in the coming year.

This initial meeting is to establish a small focus group of interested members of AustCham (in Beijing and Shanghai). After the initial meeting the initiative will be laucnhed in a more formal manner with updates on the current state of play, Australia's strategic objectives, the FTA and other topics.

The long term goal of the group is likely to be the preparation of an issues paper highlighting things that need to be done and suggested plans to promote Australian financial services initiatives in China and the preparation of events that (i) provide information and networking opportunities for anyone interested in financial services in China, and (ii) support the development of Australia and a regional financial centres.
