AustCham Beijing is now calling for submissions and sponsorship for the April 2012 edition of the INSIGHT journal.

As you know, the Australian Government has commissioned a White Paper on Australia in the Asian Century to consider the likely economic and strategic changes in the region and what more can be done to position Australia for the Asian Century.

The decision to commission the White Paper is timely as 2012 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and China. To contribute to the public understanding of these issues, the April 2012 issue of INSIGHT will accordingly focus on the dual themes of the White Paper and the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations.The journal will include content from senior government ministers and department heads, contributions from Australian and Chinese thought leaders and business people who are the forefront of the thinking in this area.

We now seek interest from those seeking to contribute articles, and offer Sponsorship opportunities for this special publication.

There will be a minimum print run of 5,000 and the publication will be distributed:

  • to all AustCham members in mainland China
  • to key politicians and officials in Australia and China
  • at events organised by Austrade and the Australian governments celebrating the China-Australia 40 year Anniversary during the year
  •  to the top 100 ASX listed companies in Australia
  • to key members of Australian-based companies with connections to China

Limited sponsorship opportunities are available

Sponsorship opportunities are strictly limited given the magazine’s focus on content, offering advertisers maximum exposure. Become a sponsor of INSIGHT and receive:

  1. 1 x full page advertisement on either the inside front, inside back or back cover of the magazine
  2. Your logo on the magazine’s front cover
  3. The opportunity to contribute an article
  4. Copies of the magazine for distribution to your networks

Article Submissions

We are seeking articles on a range of topics, including but not limited to:

  1. current and likely future course of economic, political and strategic change in China
  2. opportunities for a significant deepening of our engagement with China across the board, especially in the services sector, including in the economy, science and technology collaboration, clean energy, education, business-to-business and people-to-people links and culture
  3. political and strategic implications of the Asian Century for Australia
  4. role of effective economic and political regional and global cooperation.
